Like you I dedicated myself to helping students reach their full potential and to make a difference in their lives.
However schools didn't do that for me. I graduated during the 2007 recession and the instability of the teaching profession paired with the lack of opportunity for advancement made me almost quit.
In 2012 I read Linchpin by Seth Godin and it changed how I approached my career. I started sharing my skills, my strengths, and interests with others using social media.
I went from almost leaving teaching, to creating my own job as "Director of Innovative Learning," at the University of Southern California and being recruited by tech companies like Apple and Wix. I was being invited to conferences, to lead workshops, and building incredible relationships with people across the globe.
