Sabba is a former high school history teacher, and Education Executive at Apple, now working at UC Irvine with new teachers and is the CEO of Designing Schools. As a speaker, author, and advisor Sabba works with teams to design human-centered systems that are technology-driven. Sabba has been researching the future of learning and AI since 2014. Her book and documentary Designing Schools explore how design thinking helps people lead through change with confidence and creativity. She believes cultures of innovation begin with cultures of empathy, where people feel seen, heard, and empowered to grow.

She teaches physical education, multilingual learners and serves in various leadership roles including Student Equity Council advisor. Stacy holds a Master's Degree in Education, a CA EdTech Specialist certificate and recently earned certifications in STEAM and AI Leadership. Stacy is passionate about the intersection of AI, education and equity, engaging with a global network of educators via social media. Additionally, she writes a blog for educators through the Krause Center for Innovation where she also facilitates innovative teacher workshops. Outside of work, she balances life with her husband and three children and occasionally asks Alexa for peace and quiet!
