Teaching isn’t just what I do—it’s who I am.
I have wanted to be a teacher since I was 10 years old. I even had a 'school' set-up with a whiteboard and projector in my parents' basement. Alongside this early passion for teaching, I’ve always been fascinated by technology and creating things. Over the years, that drive has only grown stronger. From tutoring high school students throughout university to leading a real classroom, the joy I feel when guiding others has been constant. Teaching isn’t just what I do—it’s who I am.
Then, I found my true calling: Making an impact beyond the classroom.
While teaching, I saw firsthand the struggles both students and teachers face due to limited resources. At the same time, I began experimenting with AI tools like ChatGPT and recognized the immense potential—and challenges—AI could bring to education. That’s when I decided to combine my three passions: technology, creating, and educating. I launched teach2ai in the summer of 2023, creating short-form TikTok videos that empower teachers to use AI to save time and focus on what they do best—engaging with their students. Through my content, I’ve connected with educators, thought leaders, and innovators in the AI education space. My mission is simple: to ensure no teacher or student is left behind as we enter an AI-driven future. By advising AI EdTech companies, consulting with schools, and creating educational resources, I’m committed to making education better for everyone.

Sophie Theodorou is a former middle school teacher from Winnipeg, Canada, with a background in math and science. Passionate about STEM and AI, Sophie began sharing her expertise online in the summer of 2023, quickly growing a following as teach2ai, where she educates teachers on AI’s transformative role in education and how to integrate it while amplifying human skills. After transitioning out of the classroom in 2024, Sophie now advises EdTech AI startups, volunteers in AI advocacy and safety, and leads workshops on AI in education.
